  Dutch conventions organized like circuits

  here in holland jw.org is organizing for the first time the yearly conventions like circuits.

  the whole summer the new convention hall is used for small group conventions instead of 10.000 seat external halls.. it keeps the money in the organization.

  not renting external buildings.. the 29.000 witnesses here are divided now into 2.000 seat audience.. g..

  JWs have become a video religion/cult. No more prophecy, no more reasoning about scriptures... Only videos to be shown on field service and to be watched at the meetings and assemblies (more than 40 videos on 2016 regional conventions).

  And I forgot JW broadcasting where you will see '80s televangelists were just amateurs.

  and the invasion of screens at the meetings!!! No more paper bible, no more songbbok, no more... nothing!! Everything's in your smartphone, with a weekly update on devil's internet (oh no, internet is now holy)

  are the french people eager to destroy their country?

  they elected a man who is quoted as saying that "terrorism is going to be part of daily life in france for years to come.

  I'm French and very interessed in politics, now that my theocratic activities have fallen to zéro! Most of French people are not racialists but many who voted for the Front National are quite lost and unable to think but themselves.

  So they vote for those who shout the louder and tell them what they want to hear...

  I think that nothing will change for next 5 years; poor one will become poorer and rich will get richer!!

  A real change may appear in 5 years, when all this mass of disappointed people will be more and more hopeless...

  in northern France, our major assembly has been divided into 8 p arts in the Assembly Hall, every week end from June 23rd.

  many of you, like me, are probably under enormous emotional pressure, whether from a lingering false sense of guilt from your indoctrination, whether from "invitations," and assumptions that you'll naturally be coming, or whether from outright emotional blackmail, even begging and pleading.

  when I left my kingdom hall on january 2017 3rd, I swore to myself I would never go back. It's a little hard to cope, today, but I know that standing firm to my decision is the only solution to feel better and better every week.

  notice: the following is submitted in full recognition of and with compassion and due respect for those who, due to personal circumstance, feel they are unable to employ this powerful strategy.. ---.

  anyone who has awakened to ttatt and has conscientiously left the organization--especially a once-prominent, highly-regarded, studious true-believer from a celebrated multi-generational tribe of jws-- after decades of devout, high-profile "serve-us," who continues to put in an annual appearance at the memorial thoroughly subverts and undermines, by this one act, any hope s/he may entertain that his/her departure will stir family or former friends to question the whole watchtower bamboozle.

  This will be my first year of non attendance. For those in the congregation who knew me well, it will send the message that being missing from the meetings for the last few months is a conscious decision, one not taken lightly.
  

  So do I. when leaving the hall, I knew I would never come back, after more than 35 years in.

  I was more and more feeling as a stranger... What a waste of time!

  Maybe some still in will expect to meet me, but the decision was also "taken lightly". One thing I know for sure, is that I will NEVER be back!

  Making life and death/life altering decisions based on commands from someone you're not sure exists

  straight from the off, i will say that i'm 100% atheist.

  i have no faith.

  however, it occurred to me while thinking back over my involvement with the jw religion and especially when i take into account personal and family situations where people have made life altering choices due to being jw's, just how crazy it really is.

  ...but the governing body of JW's DOES exist!!!
